A magazine of unglossed insights on work through a creative lens. Whether that's commitment to a craft, pursuing a worthy cause, or striving to make ends meet. Tom Sydenham commissioned me to create a masthead & wordmark for Elbow Grease magazine brand. I took inspiration from Cooper Black, a typeface synonymous with hard work and merged it with the characteristics of bones. The result was a chunky, beefy, hard-working group of letters.
I’m a designer with a focus on UI, type design, and branding. My fascination with simplicity & anomaly motivates me to create bold, typography-led work. I’m currently working as a UI designer/art director at Principal and selling fonts at Riptype Foundry in Montreal.
